Tracking the value of your home

There are many sites out that claim to give you the value of your home for "free". When you visit a site such as housevalues.com you quickly realize the old adage that "there aint no such thing as a free lunch." That particular site requires that you go through a registration process before giving up the good info to you.

Not Zillow. Zillow gives you your home value (and your neighbor's or anyone else's for that matter) by simply typing in an address with no gimmicks. They have also recently updated their site to allow the homeowner to give additional info on the site so that prospective realtors or buyers will take into account upgrades by the homeowner...pretty nifty. Zillow has proven so useful and popular that Yahoo has incorporated it's home valuation system into it's own real estate engine.

So forget the hassles of other sites and use the big daddy of home valuation...try the newly updated Zillow today.

Doing Antivirus on the Cheap

Let's face it...everyone needs virus protection for their computers. Let's face it...not everyone can afford (especially students) to pay $40 plus buck for Norton.

So what's a saavy YES I SAVED shopper to do?

Enter AVG Free Edition Antivirus. Is it truly free? Yes. Does it do everything that Norton Antivirus can do? Yes. But don't take our word for it...according to MaximumPC:

"It has all the essentials, including a resident memory scanner, an e-mail scanner, and scheduled hard disc scans. But what really amazes us is the frequency of the virus definitions and application updates available from GRISOFT."

So download a very good antivirus program for the wonderful price of FREE!

Make money from your used ink cartridges

Staples has a really cool deal. Trade in your old used inkjet cartridge and they'll give you a $3 voucher you can spend on anything in the store...on the spot.

What's even better is that you can trade in upto 3 ink cartridges per day! $9 free bucks!

My particular printer has 5 ink bays and when they were all up the Staples lady gave me a break and even allowed me to trade in all 5 at the same time. I turned around and applied my $15 credit towards getting more needed ink! Yeah baby!

So trade in your old ink cartridges today and make some dough.
